Finance Views on the Tax Dimension of Strategic Decision Making

Webcast Available on Demand

Duration: 1 hour

Sponsored by Vertex Inc.

Webcast Summary

How well does your company incorporate tax considerations into its decision making processes? Recently, CFO Research, on behalf of Vertex Inc., surveyed 105 finance executives and conducted a set of in-depth interviews about how companies can derive greater value from their business decisions by taking tax into account more fully. The results were clear: "Tax aware" companies derive more strategic business value from major initiatives such as geographic expansion, mergers, and divestitures. In addition, companies that incorporate tax considerations have achieved better business results such as lower effective tax rates and higher earnings per share.

Attend this Webcast to hear more about the findings of our study and learn what your company can do to become more tax aware and drive greater value from its business activities.

During this Webcast, Celina Rogers, Vice President and Editorial Director of CFO Publishing, and Bernadette Pinamont, Director in the Chief Tax Office at Vertex Inc., share:

  • How to help your company prepare for renewed growth by making better use of tax-related data;

  • How to create greater alignment between tax, finance, and operations staff;

  • How the effective use of technology can increase accuracy and reduce risk in tax reporting; and

  • How to best incorporate tax into strategic decision making to improve business performance.
